YUWEI 360 vehicle camera system comprises four wide-angle cameras with infrared night vision, strategically positioned at the front, left, right, and rear of the vehicle. These cameras collect real-time images of the surroundings, and AI algorithms correct and stitch the video images into an overhead view of the vehicle, displayed in real-time on the screen.
How does the 360 vehicle camera system work?
Four cameras strategically placed around the vehicle capture ultra-wide-angle views on each side. These views are mixed and stitched together in the electronic control unit and then displayed to the driver in real-time as a single image on the monitor installed on the dashboard. The image automatically adjusts based on driving conditions to prevent driver distraction.
What distinguishes the reverse imaging system from the 360-degree monitoring system?
Traditional reverse imaging systems have only one camera, usually hidden above the license plate, providing a 120-degree rear view. It assists in looking behind the vehicle but still requires the use of side mirrors for parking, especially in complex situations, and does not guarantee absolute safety.
For drivers during reverse maneuvers, the 360-degree vehicle monitoring system serves as the driver's third eye, allowing them to see if there are obstacles around the vehicle and understand the relative position and distance of obstacles. In fact, the 360 system can completely eliminate blind spots threatening pedestrian safety, enabling drivers to have a clear view of the vehicle's surroundings, preventing scratches, dents, and expensive repairs caused by parking in tight spaces and avoiding low-impact collisions.
